Why domestic LNP infrastructure?
Turkey has been dependent on foreign sources for vaccine supply during the COVID-19 pandemic, gained relatively late access to mRNA vaccines, and has not been able to develop vaccines specific to local variants. Currently, there is no company in our country that produces in the field of LNP technology, and gene therapy production capacity is limited. An LNP platform that can be adapted to different mRNA vaccines and gene therapies with the same production infrastructure will both meet today's research needs and ensure that our country is prepared for future pandemics.
With this awareness, Deliver Biotech was established with the support of TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) to serve our country by developing unique LNP formulations that will reduce external dependence. In line with this, it has established its LNP production infrastructure within a technopark and university, and is continuing its preparations to carry out production according to GMP standards in the future.
